things i do when im feeling down that help me hold up: a thread
i love music a ton so i just listen to my favourite music, that usually calms me and also helps me to sleep kind of always. here you have some of my favourite albums.
i like to write a lot, it helps me see where my emotions flow where i need to get a hold of them. here you have a page of my diary where i talk about my exchange experience in slovakia (with a little poem) and the tattoos i plan to get at some point.
i read a lot, it makes my mind take off from what is making me sad to land in another place in time and space that doesn& #39;t affect my current life. here are also some quotes from some of my favorite books: call me by your name, essays in love and Fahrenheit 451.
face masks. i do these a lot when i feel sad because i have literally no confidence whatsoever. remember that it is not selfish to take care of yourself. the body you have is a gift and you get to inhabit it so treat it the best way you possibly can.
studying. i am always complaining about much stuff i have to do but, when im feeling sad, my brain tends to focus more because i try to shoo the bad feelings away and that gives me motivation somehow. some of me notes just cause i know i have a cute handwriting!
colouring. i always hated it as a kid but it grow onto me eventually. i like the feeling that i get to choose what colour is what thing, because i always link colours to emotions.
memories. i always loved how pics can capture a glimpse of emotion, be it happiness, freedom, curiosity, whatever. that& #39;s one of the reasons i always have them printed out, so that in bad moments i get to look at them and relive those emotions. here are some of my fav shots.
these are just some suggestions of what you can do with yourself when you& #39;re feeling miserable. if you feel inspired, no need to say that you can do whatever you want. be nice to yourselves, allow yourselves to feel happy or excited or sad or miserable or angry or upset or -
- tired or whatever you feel. your emotions have a value and you should never minimize their worth. remember you are loved, and if you feel like you arent or you need to talk to someone, my dms are always open and i promise i dont bite. i love you all.
also, i might add some other things with time so i want call it a end. treat people with kindness, always.
