Inspired by @akunnachux's https://twitter.com/akunnachux/status/1254183009219117061?s=19, I desire to use it to further the argument that Igbos indeed, do have a business succession plan.

#EnwonwuLegacy
Ben's father, Omenka Odigwe Emeka Enwonwu, was a member of the Onitsha Council of Chiefs and a traditional sculptor of repute, who created staffs of office, stools, decorative doors, and religious images. He died in 1921 and Ben inherited his work tools & studio.
While @akunnachux had tweeted a summary of Ben's career, I'd like to add this as well ~

Ben Enwonwu was one of the first African artists to win critical acclaim, having exhibited in august exhibition spaces in Europe and the US and listed in intl directories of contemporary art.
Since 1950, Enwonwu was celebrated as "Africa's Greatest Artist" by the international media, and his fame was used to enlist support for Black Nationalists movement all over the world. He died in 1994.

Here is one of his most famous painting 'Tutu'.
Oliver Enwonwu is the son of the celebrated Ben Enwonwu, MBE.

He is an artist, curator, art administrator, author, writer, publisher, and brand strategist.

Buoyed by his father's pioneering career that opened the way for the increased visibility of modern African Arts...
...he became the founder, executive director, and trustee of The Ben Enwonwu Foundation ( @BenEnwonwuFdn).

He is also President, Society of Nigerian Artists, Director, Omenka Gallery & CEO, Revilo, publishers of Omenka magazine.
Oliver sits on the board of several organizations including the Reproduction Rights Society of Nigeria and the Lagos Biennial. He has also served on the governing board of the National Gallery of Art, Nigeria.
Okay.

Now I have shown the family tree spanning 3 generations, I would like to mention that I do not know any Enwonwu nor do I have an exceptional interest in visual arts.

As I had earlier mentioned, @akunnachux's tweet triggered the research and I came up with this thread.
