So completely validating my decision to put as much distance between myself and mintpossum, e has falsely accused me of supporting clawshrimpy, saying that I blocked em because e went after clawshrimpy a few months ago.
This is entirely false. I blocked em because e joined hachx0/Hachiko in harassing Secret Gamer Girl over entirely manufactured accusations that SGG was working with Graham Linehan. When e contacted me from an alt I unblocked and had the impression MintPossum understood that
Hachiko's accusations were not credible. If you want to see what I'm talking about, SGG has been updating a thread since mid-February documenting Hachiko's harassment. Be aware that this is a long thread. https://twitter.com/SecretGamerGrrl/status/1251746726584647682
I did not block MintPossum for calling Emmy out. Initially, when I looked at the situation, I was on MintPossum's side and asked @Emmy_Zje to let it go. The next day, when I looked at the situation, MintPossum had linked at some point this tweet of Emmy's and said she had
threatened to sexually harass em. That does not look like a threat or harassment.

I also saw MintPossum interact sympathetically with an account that tweeted that the Toronto Public Library protest against Meghan Murphy showed that trans rights oppose women's sex-based rights.
To be fair, I did not in fact believe that MintPossum knew this, but when I saw this guy (not MintPossum) complaining that Emmy could just call him transphobic and block him with no accountability, I looked at his account and saw it was a sockpuppet with standard GC arguments.
What bothered me was the escalation. Emmy was no longer someone who had made a mistake and deployed arguments about intersex variations to respond to transphobes, but someone who deserved to be punished, who didn't deserve to have her followers, who had to be taken down.
MintPossum instantly glommed onto anyone who joined in on the recriminations, regardless of their own politics or attitudes regarding trans or intersex people.

I also saw that MintPossum had complained that someone in the /r/transgender subreddit had told em ey deserved to be
sexually harassed. So I looked that up, and well... that came out of nowhere during this discussion, and MintPossum called /u/TiffanyNow an evil monster because she had supposedly said sexual harassment was okay.
She never said this.
There was another factor to this: On the /r/transgender post, after receiving pushback about eir characterization of the situation and Emmy's reactions specifically, ey added that Emmy had tweeted a dick pic and deleted it before e could get a screencap.
Some things: I've never had a tweet disappear from my notifications unless I blocked or muted the person sending it. The picture came up on the reddit and not in MintPossum's request that I step into the situation the previous night. If there was a pic, that's inexcusable.
I do not agree with TiffanyNow that such a pic would not be sexual harassment, but I also note Tiffany never says it's okay.

However, given how often e has escalated a situation and added false accusations (such as myself and SGG supporting a pedophile) to look more "right"
in these situations, I am skeptical that the pic existed. As I said, I have never seen a tweet disappear from my notifications unless I specifically blocked or muted the person doing it. They can delete, block me, etc, but the tweet is still there until I reload my notifications.
This is how I was able to tweet these images from someone who blocked me: https://twitter.com/lisaquestions/status/1253859650887249921
If this behavior isn't the case at all times I'd love to know. I just tested sending a tweet from one of my alt accounts to this account (just @'ing myself), the tweet appeared in my notifications on Android. I deleted the tweet. The tweet is still in my notifications.
If anyone would like to test this with me, let me know. Or test on your own. I suck at taking screencaps of my phone, unfortunately (the instructions for doing so requires buttons that do not exist on my phone? Someone help it's a Samsung S-8)
I blocked MintPossum because:

* E turns on people on a dime
* E has a history of false accusations that continued during this situation
* E began falsely accusing me of supporting someone widely believed to be a pedophile after I blocked em
* E decided that I too deserved abuse after I blocked em, again showing that my decision to block was correct.

E had also falsely accused Emmy of being a truscum just a week or so prior to this.
To be clear: I do not believe Emmy handled this situation as well as she could have. I also do not believe that intersex people were wrong to call her out about the butterfly tweet, or ask for more sensitive phrasing, such as "variation" vs. "condition." However, I also think
that at the same time this was going numerous terf/CRA/GC/transphobe accounts were harassing Emmy and I know from experience that in a time like that it's nigh-impossible to manage two separate emotional states depending on which antagonistic person you're responding to.
And MintPossum is nothing if not antagonistic if e decides someone is the enemy. As seen in the screencaps.

At one point, MintPossum told Emmy that eir call out thread "is now a ransom." Emmy's response was imperfect, but I believe she responded in good faith. MintPossum's
response was to continue escalating the situation.

I did block a few other accounts that joined in with MintPossum in what looked to me like harassment rather than looking to repair the situation.
Here's the thing: I don't want MintPossum or anyone else harassed. I just want people to be aware that when push comes to shove and you do not take MintPossum's side in something, e will accuse you of anything e thinks will stick, and may escalate the accusations.
Update: I was finally able to get the deleted tweet out of my Android's notifications by forcing the app to stop. The phone going to sleep, switching to other apps and back again? It stubbornly remained until I effectively turned it off and back on again.
I forgot to mention that I do realize that given past behavior that MintPossum will likely escalate again in response to this thread. Fantastic, really.
