Stages of brief writing I have gone through today:

- I have no idea what I'm talking about.
- Wow, I really conceptually understand this.
- Now that I understand this, our argument is definitely wrong.
- Our argument is so right, we will definitely win.

1/

- The other side is so wrong about their argument, they should be reported to the bar.
- JK, maybe I should be reported to the bar.
- Is this completely unrelated thing actually important to this brief?
- I should spend a lot of time fixing the formatting instead of writing.

2/

- Is this section too argumentative? Or not argumentative enough?
- The Game of Thrones soundtrack is really perfect for brief-writing. I am verbally slaying dragons.
- Ooooh PIZZA!
- Well, hopefully this will read better in the morning.
