(1/5) Please only people who are from an ethnicity that experiences racism reply. If I were to undertake research in the area of pedagogies of discomfort in anti-racist education, how would you feel given I am from a euro-settler background? What do I need to consider?
(2/5) Should I not do it full stop? Given I will probably touch on epistemologies of ignorance, what can I put into place to ensure I am impartial, given I am from the exact culture that maintains ignorance?
(3/5) My honours topic has taken a bit of an unexpected (but good) turn. I have been really drawn in to articles about ignorance of vulnerability and pedagogies of discomfort. However, I want this to be a thesis that is representative of the people it is discussing.
(4/5) If you feel I am crossing a line even slightly, please tell me if I need to stop considering it. If you can think of things that will prevent me from crossing the line, I'd also be interested in hearing your ideas. I'm happy for DMs/Skype/Zoom/phone calls/texts - whatever!
(5/5) Get in contact with me by replying/DMs & we can discuss what the best method of communication is for you.
