As an ‘anioma’ person that have lived with both igbos and yorubas all my life I can tell you this for free, WE ARE IGBO.

When I hear the you’re not Igbo talk I simply just say “my name is Ugochukwu Okafor, you can’t be more Igbo than that”
If your parents go for village and towns meeting you’re Igbo. What wrapper does your mother tie - Hollandia, George, Akwa ocha, you’re Igbo
You pound akpu, eat banga/ofe aku, prefer to use red garri for eba, you’re Igbo
Your parents prefer to build in the village before building in ‘another man’s land’. You’re very Igbo!
Our people discriminate against people from the other side of the Niger YES, I wish I understand why. But as I just found out...even that is an Igbo thing. Makes us even more Igbo
The only reason you think you’re not Igbo is because of the river, but other parts of delta that share the same river bank don’t behave like us or other Igbo tribes at all. Our cultures are practically THE SAME - food, music, dance, ...everything
