Wrong!

Vegetative state and brain death is 2 different situation.

Vegetative state - a large part of the brain (carebrum) is severely damaged and typically has some brain stem function (which controls breathing) and possibly other brain function. (1/4) https://twitter.com/achunadia/status/1254080601860132865
Patients in vegetative states are ALIVE but also have severely impaired consciousness, although their eyes may open spontaneously and if they survived, they usually have some ongoing cognitive and physical impairments and disabilities. (2/4)
Brain death: These patients are no longer alive. There’s no longer any brain activity. Senang cerita, mati. But you can still keeps the patient “alive” by using mechanical ventilation and medications to keeps their heart beating and blood flowing to their organs so that.. (3/4)
Boleh la donate organ organ dia. Brain death can be very confusing for families who are confronted with the sudden death of someone they love because a brain dead person on a ventilator can feel warm to the touch and can look "alive." (4/4)
Proses nak sahkan seseorang itu “brain dead” ambil masa yang agak lama. Jadi during that period of time, kau akan tertanya-tanya like if they’re still there, fighting for their life or if not, adakah by putting them on ventilator hanya akan prolong his suffering?
Dilemma: part of you is still hoping for a miracle and taknak diorang mati la obv haha AND part of you somehow like tersiksa seeing them in that condition and just don’t want to prolong their suffering and just let them rest in peace.
👆🏼 is one of the toughest decision i’ve ever made. Sekian. Kenot continue this thread anymore. Screen basah oredi haha. Kbyeee ✨
