Rondos teams are 8-3 when he records 20+ assists, and excluding the 2015-16 season where he was on a poor 33-49 Kings team his teams were an amazing 8-1 when he recorded 20+ assists, yet the common narrative is that he’s a stat chaser..
Rajon Rondos teams are an incredible 7-2 in playoff series where he averages 10+ assists, whereas his teams are 1-3 in playoff series where he does not average 10+ assists since the 2008-09 season (5-3 record since the 2007-08 season)

6-0 against sub 50 win teams
10+ assist series 1/2

2009 first round Celtics vs Bulls- 11.6 APG (Won 4-3)

2010 first round Celtics vs Heat- 10.2 APG (Won 4-1)

2010 ECSF Celtics vs Cavaliers- 11.8 APG (Won 4-2)

2011 first round Celtics vs Knicks- 12.0 APG (Won 4-0)
10+ 2/2

2012 first round Celtics vs Hawks- 11.8 APG (Won 4-2)

2012 ECSF Celtics vs 76ers- 12.7 APG (Won 4-3)

2012 ECF Celtics vs Heat- 11.3 APG (Lost 4-3)

2017 first round Pelicans vs Trail Blazers- 13.3 APG (Won 4-0)

2017 WCSF Pelicans vs Warriors- 11.4 APG (Lost 4-1)
Excluding the 2007-08 season where he was at a mere 5.1 APG Rondos teams are an abysmal 1-3 in playoff series where he averages less than 10 APG
Additionally, in the 2017 playoffs, Rondo averaged 10.0 APG in the only 2 games he was active in to put Chicago up 2-0 vs Boston, after he was inactive, Chicago lost 4 straight without his presence and lost the series.
Overall, this should be solid enough evidence that the common narrative doesn’t always equate to truth. Rondo has always been labeled a stat stuffer by fans and the media, but the numbers show when he puts up said numbers, his teams thrive..
