Sexual coercion runs rampant at most cons yet y’all turn a blind eye to it for the sake of saving someone’s reputation

I’ve heard multiple stories of people going to a con party and feeling like they were being forced to drink/dance with people they don’t know for the sake of looking cool or fitting in!

I’ve heard multiple stories of people feeling manipulated into participating in some sort of sexual act AT A CON! Yet no one wants to talk about it because they don’t wanna admit people are getting hurt and manipulated at their precious anime con

When I entered the cosplay community I had the pleasure of being pursued by an irrelevant man who “picked up girls” at cons. There are people who come to cons just to try and manipulate people into having sex with them.

So stop fucking acting like you can’t imagine a cosplayer manipulating and traumatizing another person because it happens at literally every con you go to! You should be thanking everyone who comes forward to help keep our community safe instead of shaming them.
