It is in all cis women's interests to oppose trans misogyny. It is an ideology that claims that "real women" are undemanding, pleasant, passive and never visibly sexual. Even self-defence is characterized as "male energy"/"male privilege" & not the domain of true, good women.

We cis feminists should oppose trans misogyny because trans women deserve respect, rights & protection. AND it's in our interests to fight a system that endorses the most buck-wild sexism as a measure of womanhood. Being strong, complex, demanding, sexual--that is womanhood too

The way cis people assess trans womanhood feels so similar to testing for witches in the burning times. If she demands better for herself, she's not a real woman, that's so "male"! If she doesn't defend herself, she IS a real woman. But now we've pushed her out, oops/oh well!

it is in cis women's interest to be in unbreakable comradeship with trans women and refuse the premise that some girls are just wrong or bad. Also, no surprise, trans women are often leading the way on unlearning the degradation of femininity & living the practice of sisterhood.
