#CJs2Cents: The video was well done & fantastically edited. However, I must severely disagree with Thomas' arguments. I will defend the writers & say that the backlash of Lucky Charms is-mostly-no fault of their own but rather the audience.

At no point in the story did the dialogue or actions between the 2 ever hint that there was any romantic connection between Qrow & Clover, & all of the positive moments between these 2 were done with the context of friendship. So the argument of people saying RT queer baited>
is non-existent as the only thing that made the 2 seemed as though a romance was brewing was because certain fans interpreted friendship for romantic attraction. A positive relationship between people doesn't 100% mean they have a romantic agenda on their minds. It means they>
care about that person. Also, I must reject something else Thomas said in the video. Men in the real world CAN & DO show platonic affection for one another without being labeled as "a gay". It's becoming more & more normal & accepted for men to show their love for each other.
Also, allow me to speak on the behalf of "straight people" & say that we don't hate romance & we don't hate romance between main characters. What we DO hate however is poorly executed romance & romance where a pair is just their relationship & not 2 individuals involved together.
RWBY has given us 1 good romantic relationship-to me-& it was Saphron & Terra. Other romances either have no development & are just there, completely removes the individuality of the people involved, or both. That's what we "straight folks" & even "lgbtq folks" hate.
On the subject of you saying "RWBY's had good lgbtq representation before Lucky Charms"....no, just no. The lgbtq rep has been done well with quite literally only Saphron & Terra. They're characters outside of their labels & the story doesn't bend over backwards for them for them
Also, that little comment on Jason being better at portraying Qrow than Vic? I know you hate Vic with a fiery passion over the accusations but Jason is not better than Vic, currently. He's still struggling to find balance in his voice for him & still hasn't surpassed v6 Qrow.
And one last thing before I conclude this thread. Yes, I am 1 of those people who say Qrow gave up drinking too quickly AND easily, along with saying Yang's PTSD was never properly shown. And I say & stand by those things because both of those takes are true when you look it over
