Podcast transcripts: a thread.
I am regularly disappointed by shows that do not publish transcripts of their podcasts.
Publishing transcripts is good because:

It allows people with hearing/sound issues to access your content

It allows people with hearing/sound issues to access your content

2) It makes your content more discoverable on the internet
3) It allows nerds like me to go and fish out bits of your episode and tweet about how mind blowing/exciting/interesting/moving etc. that part was, hence driving more people to your show.

What is especially disappointing is that big networks/broadcasters are some of the worst offenders. These are organisations with the resources to do so (plus as AI transcription services have improved so much over recent years it really doesn't take much).

ESPECIALLY public broadcasters who have a duty to make their content accessible to all. And here is where I must name and shame @RadioNational and a lot of other ABC audio content eg from ABC Radio and ABC Audio Studios. Can you please try to do better? End of thread.
