The contact tracing app is a significant test for our Govt.
Have they:
- released the source code
- released a PIA
- released a bill setting out meaningful legal safeguards

The contact tracing app is also a test for our media.
Have journalists consulted with technical, security, privacy, legal & public health experts before writing about or discussing the app?
Have journalists demanded transparency from our politicians?

The contact tracing app is also a significant test for the Opposition:
Have they:
- asked the Government to release the source code; an independent PIA, a draft bill?
- have they released their own draft bill?
- have they engaged with the relevant experts?

How then is the contact tracing app a test for the public?
Perhaps it is a "test" to see if we will demand a Govt & media that:
- earns our trust;
- meaningfully works with experts,
- promotes transparency
- communicates clearly and with empathy?
