What if surgical masks were ubiquitous and free?

What if PPE was everywhere, for everyone?

I've lost track of the hours I've dedicated to working on PPE production policy – but this is one of the major reasons why it's a top priority: https://twitter.com/sfchronicle/status/1254196051205951489
And then you have a massive public education campaign teaching people how to properly use PPE (i.e. over mouth AND nose, please). And I have trouble envisioning difficulty getting very many celebs, media properties, outlets, publications, grandees, to participate...
Why hasn't this happened?

Simply: Trump's death cult hasn't wanted it to happen.
And honestly, without federal leadership, we can't even address the basic problem of PPE production, never-mind tackle making it safe for everyone to wear a mask in public (i.e. confront white supremacy)
