A lot of “unverified” information are circulating online. So I took the time to research on this and here’s what I found:

First off, we need to find the right information from the right source: YOUTUBE.

According to the latest article about YouTube Music charts posted on YT’s official blog:

Only views that come from organic plays contribute to the charts.

By organic they mean:

Direct links to the video
Search results (manually searching for the video)
External sites that embed the video (but not autoplayed)
YouTube features like Homepage, Watch Next, and Trending

That’s the latest blog from YT that discusses views. At the end of the day, no one really knows how YouTube’s algorithm works.

But here are some articles that have similar sentiments on artificial/fraudulent views.

Therefore we should NOT

Reload views
Use Autoplay
Open a lot of windows to watch the video at the same time

There are also some articles saying that repeated views count only up to a certain point (it stops after the 4th or 5th view).

Again, this info is not directly from YT but from people who experimented on to see how views contribute to the count.

From what we know, this is what we can do:
Search for the MV manually
Post the link whenever you can (if someone clicks this, it counts as a view)
Watch from start to end
Leave a comment
Search for other videos (performances) before streaming the MV again

Personally, what I do is clear my history first then stream the following:

NBTM MV
NBTM MCountdown Stage
Aura Stage
Poison Stage
NBTM MV
Hard Carry
YCMN
NBTM MV

After this, I log in to a different account and do something similar

ALSO, MY SISTER AND I:

- Stream via Spotify and Genie
- Collect chamsims on IdolChamp and hearts on MuBeat
- Vote on MWave
