A few observations about today’s demonstration…

1. The antipathy towards @GovAndyBeshear who was cast as tyrannical (“Adolf”) and “liberal” journalists was predictable, but what was strikingly different this time was a visceral contempt for Muslims and “homosexuality” and @KYGOP officials.

2. @KYGOP may want to be very careful about stoking these folks further given what I heard today. The contempt is NOT just for @GovAndyBeshear, but toward @DanielCameronAG, @Team_Mitch and yes, even @RandPaul. The only official they praised? @RepThomasMassie.

3. The distrust of news organizations goes into a disbelief science and medicine. A woman out there today said she has an underlying condition but that she’s refusing to wear a mask because she doesn’t believe anything.

4. The hint of violence—even reluctant use of it—that is also beginning to appear more frequent as one of the speakers alluded to how if @DanielCameronAG doesn’t do something they will have to take a less peaceful route.

5. People on a regular diet of edge of revolution are easy to light up, but are much harder to put out once their flames have been ignited. Can’t say how marginal or small or large these folks represent, but they’re out there and they’re beyond pissed off.
