Regular Muslims view on the matters that concern us as South Africans during this lockdown of the masaajid.

It is with a heavy heart that we feel the pain of Ramadan without taraweeh and being taken away from the masjid, a place of barakah and shifa.
However in such a time we must remember that it is our utmost duty to preserve life. The Ulama have taken all sides of the argument and have pondered heavily on the stance that they have taken.

We all look at our president and sympathise and show patience
However when it comes to our most senior Ulama we want to chastise and question every statement they make as if we have spent years pondering over the quraan, hadeeth, Islamic leadership and Islamic law?
Imagine the state of our imaan where we nit pick at the actions of our Ulama instead of doing introspections of how we can change. Imagine it is lockdown, but yet mothers are still complaining their sons are lazy and don't help . That the husband passes time on his phone.
Imagine that during this month a Muslim brother argues with his fellow Muslim sister/brother. The shaytaans are locked up but yet you are spreading problems, insulting each other and showing your jaat.

Imagine the state that we are in and question out intentions
And question the state that we shall let this month pass by, by continuing to carry on the way we are
