Let's be rational here.
It's not a debate, it's acceptance.
Donald Trump is out of his depth and a danger to life.
Beyond the narrative of 'vote a non-politician, because all politicians are corrupt' it's now the reality of a man who won an election happens to be a psychopath.
The to and fro of journalists desperately straining at the sinew -- searching for precedence and meaning, patterns and profound revelation.
It's not there.
We flounder because we refuse to call a lie a lie.
Journalists do:
Who, what, why, when where and if possible 'how'?
We mustn't forget our sole responsibility to bring the truth.
It's not about emotion and hurt feelings, it's just about the truth.
And in the era of gas-lighting we must adapt.
It's not possible to balance deliberately malign and fake actors. I suggest Christiane Amanpour's argument:

'Be truthful, not neutral'.
