Y’all I had a weird ass dream about riverdale that also lowkey kinda made sense? Lemme make this a thread:
So this dream came out of nowhere but it was essentially Jughead narrating and revealing that he was never a part of the core four and that he was just the quiet kid in the back of the class that no one cared about who loved Betty Cooper and never got that love back.
He reveals that Betty and Veronica were best friends who both were in love with Archie, and that their high school years consisted of back and forth before Betty finally came out on top and won Archie’s affections permanently.
Veronica left Riverdale after that heartbreak and married rich in New York, where she spent the rest of her days unhappy and in a loveless marriage, following in her mother’s footsteps. Betty and Archie got married and were happy, but Archie died of a heart attack at a young age-
Leaving Betty to raise their two children on her own. NOW THIS IS WHAT FUCKED ME UP: Jughead then reveals that Cheryl actually DIED that day in sweet water river. That she lost her mind after the loss of her brother and the revelation that her father was the murderer-
And that despite Archie’s attempts to save her life, she died of hypothermia on the way to the hospital. But Betty revealed to all of Riverdale in an article that Cheryl’s final words revolved around seeing a “pink haired guardian angel by her side to guide her.”
Jughead fabricated Toni’s entire existence to give Cheryl the happy ending she felt she deserved after a life of tragedy. He then closes a book that says “Riverdale: the town with pep!” By Jughead Jones: the whole show was his novel.
Now don’t ask me how my fucking brain works like this but BITCH THAT CHONI PART HAD ME FUCKED UP FOR HOURS AFTERWARDS. but am I wrong in saying the show ending like that would lowkey be LIT AF?!
