I think people are forgetting that a higher stage mage can still inflict damage on a lower stage mage. Gaja (stage 0 mage) stated it would’ve been ugly if he didn’t use his defense techniques against Noelle (stage 1 mage here) sea dragon roar, it would’ve damaged him if he didn’t

Ppl saying “it doesn’t make since for luck to beat Svenkin because Luck is stage 1” aren’t reading the chapters right. Svenkin said his skin magic changes based on his opponents attributes and cancel out their magic. It worked against luck but Luck was getting faster in the fight

Luck used “True Lightning Magic”which was stated by Gaja to be actual real lighting.

Svenkin can cancel out Lucks lighting but NOT actual lighting itself that Luck used.
Luck speed was too fast for Svenkin to counter, Svenkin even said there’s no way his magic could nullify that. This spell definitely puts Luck stage 0 tho.
