It's wild how so many Americans view the outsourcing of domestic manufacturing to China over the past 25 years as some devious Chinese plan for domination rather than a strategy by which the American ruling class exploded its profit margin by exploiting global inequality

Anyone who promises these jobs are coming back is either a liar or a fool. US workers will not work for $5 an hour, US companies won't pay a living wage, and US consumers won't tolerate paying more for less. The American way of life depends on the uneven exploitation of the world

And keep in mind the same Trump advisors saying relying on Chinese manufacturing is a "security threat" also thought it was a good idea to slap tariffs on PPE imports in 2018 so that domestic manufacturers could make up the difference. They didn't, and frontline workers died.
