while we're here, I also find the criticism that the dialogue in Titanic is like... bad or at odds with the rest of the film or performances as very strange. like, it's CHEESY, and I can see if that's not your bag, but like what did you want Aaron Sorkin?

like homeslice gets away with having Rose say the line "A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets" & I think I gained 5 pounds just from the cheese of it all, and I'm like, I can't believe he got away with writing that line, but somehow it works in its own cheesy, cheesy moment
