Tower of God: ๐š†๐š˜๐š•๐š‘๐šŠ๐š’๐š”๐šœ๐š˜๐š—๐š

(Spoilers for ToG seasons 2 through current chapters)
Its been about a week since I did my last ToG thread, but Im back once again to give you guys lore and insight on the series๐Ÿ˜. Today, weโ€™ll talk about what may have been the most entertaining subject for me to research yet: The independent group of Wolhaiksong.
Co-Led by Urek Mazino and the 9th-place Ranker, Baek Ryun, this organization is the only one in ToG known to possess power that possibly rivals the might of the empire or FUG.
The story of its creation is an interesting one, and quite amazing in that it showcases the style and power of the Ray Barracuda in all its glory. As it goes, Baek lived for most of his life alone in a vast forest, growing in power as a Wave Controller and honing his skills.
Urek met Baek in this forest at some point, and took interest in him. After spending time to get to know each other, Urek asked him to leave his forest and join him in seeking the world outside. Baek was opposed to this idea, as the forest was what heโ€™d come to call home.
This was an easy problem for Urek to fix. He compressed the entirety of the forest in a small box customized with wings, and gave it to Baek in reassurance of their friendship, as a way for them to travel together.
Eventually they found more companions on their journey, reached the 77th Floor, and established themselves as a power within the Tower in that area.
Just like the Workshop, they are a dominant force that operates independently from the Empire. Mainly, their influence is a product of Urekโ€™s standing and prowess, but they also gain followers due to their goal of breaking out of the tower.
This ideology is thanks to that same manโ€™s unknown mistake of chasing someone into the tower. Why Urek was on a hunt for this being (Phantaminum), we dont know. However, he regrets it. According to him, the world outside is beautiful, with โ€œstars and endless skyโ€.
Since, their small corporation has turned into a belief with many followers and loyal supporters of the cause. In fact, they have association with some people we already know.
Once again going back to Urek (Iโ€™ve brought him up a lot, but really heโ€™s the main component of everything related to Wolhaiksong), he has curious relationships with two substantial figures: Yuri and Garam Jahad. Yuri herself was there for the founding of the Wing Tree base.
Garam doesnt have a relationship with anyone within the organization but him, and to say theyโ€™re on friendly terms isnโ€™t entirely true, but Garam has been stated as willing to work with him as long as he does the one thing she asks: kill the king.
Quant Blitz and Lero Ro have officially become members of the organization as well since back in season 2. As of right now, these four can only be considered as important, but thereโ€™s no doubt more powerful individuals work under them or have allied themselves with them.
Although Wolhaiksong has never outright challenged the empireโ€™s authority, they are no doubt kept in the minds of every single individual that holds place within it. Having an irregular more powerful than any leader on your side turns the tables drastically.
As Gustang noted, Urek could wipe out Gustangโ€™s damily without trying, and then likely take him out as well. Although we have no info on Baek aside from his rank, the rank itself IS a lot to go off. Heโ€™s described as โ€œthe most gifted wave controller in the towerโ€™s historyโ€
Wether theyโ€™ll play in the war to come isnt a question for them, as they dont participate in normal politics, (although us readers know that their movement will be inevitable) but bonds are already present, and others are going to be formed in the future that will test this.
Bam seeks personal training from Urek once he reaches floor 77, and the status of Yuri could be a big factor in Mazinoโ€™s future moves. As the two are friends, if sheโ€™s hurt in any way, or, god forbid, executed/banished from her family, there could be an unforeseen response from-
Him that none of the families are prepared to deal with considering the conflict with FUG is big enough to fill their plate. I wont even mention the kind of reaction if Garam were to be found and recieve punishment of any kind.
Another variable yet to be considered that would make them participate in the war is Bam and Rachel; more specifically, their relation to Arlene, whoโ€™s found a way out of the tower and never returned. Maybe theyโ€™d look to the two of them to find out the secret of the exit?
While they are a neutral player right now, they are easily the biggest wildcard in the story. All it takes is for one thing to go wrong, and the empire could have the only man who rivals their king in power, and the only regular put on par with the leaders as a wave controller-
On their bad side.
I havenโ€™t met a single ToG fan that truly dislikes Urek, and just like all of you, Im excited to see how he and Wolhaiksong will shake up the positioning of power. As possibly the only one who can rival Jahad in strength, they can be the people who decide the outcome-
Of this colossal conflict. Every being fears their might, and for good reason. They play by their own rules, and those who get in their way are tossed aside with a flick of the finger๐Ÿ˜ค
