I'm aware of 3 TV/Radio journalists who've covered/commented on post-lockdown face mask 'issue' re: #Coronavirus #redux
1. Peston - ITV -ex-BBC - twice in Daily Briefings
2. Fergus Walsh - BBC (2 items)
3. Emma Barnett - BBC TV/Radio/twitter + HIGNFY
Any more? I'm curious
I'm slowly building up some details about this & I will try to explain why it's very important soon. Thanks to @Sharpzilla for the retweet yesterday btw :)
This is poss not as clear cut as I thought.. *but* either media got bored and came up with the 'face masks for all angle' (I'd say 'scare' stories, so far) or someone did prompt it. I'll keep digging.. It centres about 22nd/23rd April.
Something prompted this.. as they all say it on the 22nd (& after for a day or two)
So what prompted?
Seems like Matt Hancock's lunchtime comments re: SAGE
But he didn't even say it *would* happen!
This seemed to return on last night's Sky paper review.
w/ Jenny K & S. Abel (w/A Jones presenting)
They referred to an article in the Tele.
And so now Sturgeon is going for this in Scotland, and Beth Rigby asks the question of Boris himself on Sky today.
I am aware that masks were enforced during Spanish Flu, but I'm more concerned here with how they r being slow-fed to us here.
Some of these won't be in order now, but here's one from 8am this morn (Tele) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/consumer-affairs/best-face-masks-buy-much-should-pay-one/
