On the page, the line "'Cause she's got a great ass and you've got your head all the way up it" is a Jerry Orbach/Law & Order-style wisecrack, a throwaway. Pacino, at the height of his baroque period, makes it a ten course meal. https://twitter.com/nickusen/status/1254096525636009984
I worked with Pacino once, in the HBO Dr. Kevorkian biopic You Don't Know Jack. My 1st day was a one-on-one scene with the man himself, straight into the deep end. He was sweet & funny and put me at immediate ease. Afterwards he put his hand on my shoulder and said "Thank you!"
Another day I arrived on set, saw him sitting there and I said "Dr. K!" He smiled and gave me the finger gun. He's Pacino, so everything he does takes on an epic quality. I was like, holy shit, Al Pacino gave me the finger gun! Anyway, Happy Birthday, guy!
My favorite story from that shoot is one day the shot was an exterior of him walking into a courthouse. That's it. I was in the shot bc I played a reporter. We did a few takes and after the 3rd one he lay down on a table in the building lobby and said "I smell an Oscar!"
I thought, wow, even Al Pacino does the "I smell an Oscar" joke.
