On forcefully banning of Azaan in UP:
Muslim sisters and brothers, stay vigil. This might be an attempt to push you to break the lockdown and come on streets. There's no other reason why police is not clarifying the issue. They want panic maybe. Once you break the lockdown (1/n)

They'll put all the blame of coronavirus on you and then entire state machinery would again start dehumanising & criminalising all of us. It's better than respected elders of the community talk to the local police directly. Avoiding panic is very important. (2/n)
If even after the intervention from elders, the issue is not resolved, let us all resolve to say Azaan from our terrace individually. That would be more impactful and would show that for us Azaan is an important and inseparable part of our faith. Please think about it.
If we do that we are proving that whatever the government might plan, #AzaanBandNahiHogi. Insha'Allah.
