i think.. having two characters bond through not feeling heard/understood is.. fine and enough in itself without the whole daisy hears donald's voice "normally" and it being the joke (and the romance) of it all

it's weird how tonedeaf this show is sometimes. being apparently super careful at how della's prosthetic leg is depicted (and how characters react to it) while writing donald with a speech impediment and doing.. this..

and like even if they wrote donald without realizing this, i'm pretty sure the character has much more to offer in terms of potential for jokes than "haha he sounds funny"
