jughead jones caring about betty’s mental health, a thread

FIRST OF ALL please before y’all quote or say this is just a tv show bla bla this isn’t about who is more there for her, not a competition, not a shade, just a bughead thread that isn’t hurting anyone

when betty was spiraling thinking she was crazy, jughead calmed her down, tried to made her smile and reminded her they weren’t their families

when betty told jughead what happened with her parents, not only he stopped her from blaming herself, he also reminded her how strong she was and encouraged her to not let go

after finding out what happened with betty and chuck at the cafeteria, jughead asked her because she sounded upset and wanted to make sure she was okay

after they fought, betty shared with jughead about her darkness and her self harming, he accepted it all kissing her scars and not making her feel like she was crazy

then, when the black hood was going for betty, jughead confronted her about the note he found, and when betty told him her concerns about it, he reassured her that she wasn’t a bad person and tried to cheer her up saying she was like her favorite comic character

when jughead woke up from his coma, the moment he saw betty he apologized for not being able to be there for her to help her with her dad

later, he calls betty to check on her and suggest he can ditch school to go to her house, he tells her he’s worried about her and that if she needs anything she’ll call him

after betty tells him she thinks she’s evil, jughead immediately reassures her that she isn’t, saying he knows her and that even tho she has some darkness just like him, that doesn’t make her a bad person, and she believes him

jughead, after hearing betty’s thoughts that she wasn’t going to be able to handle everything, tells her they are going to get through it and that they are partners in everything while putting on her head his security blanket, his beanie

when he learns about her seizure, he gets scared her helping him on the case of g&g wasn’t being good for her mental health, but calmed down when betty reassured him doing it was the most normal thing she could think of

when they were investigating who the gargoyle king was, he reminded her if she needed to she could take a break and get off the case

during the quest night, he was there for her as an emotional support, running to catch her when she was going to fall and trying to tilt her head to the other side so she wouldn’t see hal ,and later had his arms open for her when they gave them the news her family was gone

after jughead spent a whole night inside of a coffin, when he talked with betty the only thing that made him mad about being trapped in it was that he couldn’t help betty with the strange calls

when jughead found out what betty did with hal’s grave, he took a train to go home, and told her she didn’t spiral, that what she did was a human reaction and nothing to be ashamed of, and again, apologized for not being there bc he was at the prep
