Later in the evening, a spokesperson from Twitter disputed the idea that the company is allowing bots and trolls to spread disinformation on its platform, and criticized Bot Sentinel’s methodology. Oh, really? Anytime I speak to a reporter, I always provide verifiable data…
and I am 100% transparent with how we classify accounts. So I was confident with my assessment of what is occurring on the platform. I thought it was silly for Twitter to claim it’s not allowing inauthentic behavior and criticize our algorithm/ methodology when I have receipts…
First, let’s address the claim the company doesn’t allow bot and trolls to spreads disinformation. I have selected random examples of COVID-19 related disinformation currently live on the website. The following examples are not ambiguous, but clear examples of disinformation…
The first example is an account that shared a video of a doctor who falsely claims COVID-19 is a hoax and other bizarre nonsense. YouTube eventually deleted the video, but the Twitter account sharing the link is still active. Twitter didn’t prevent the link from being shared...
In this next example, the account is sharing a video that falsely claims COVID-19 has a mortality rate similar to the flu...
This example shows an account that is sharing a link to an article that claims Bill Gates and the World Health Organization are involved in a global conspiracy...
In this example, the account is sharing a video of Alex Jones pushing conspiracy theories about 5G phones and COVID-19. The video is hosted directly on Twitter...
Here is another example of an account sharing a link to a video that claims YouTube is banning videos of COVID-19 cures...
Once again, an account sharing a link to a COVID-19 conspiracy theory…
In this example, the account is sharing a link to a Zero Hedge article that claims exercising likely prevents COVID-19 hospitalizations. The account sharing the link is still active...
There are literally thousands of examples like the few I shared, and it is baffling to me that Twitter would make the claim they are not allowing bots and trolls to spread disinformation on the platform; their statement is just false. They should’ve known I would have receipts...
Regarding the statement about our methodology, I found it to be hypocritical since a representative from Twitter reached out to me stating that our technology is useful and wanting to work together. Yesterday evening I provided copies of the emails to Business Insider...
I guess the Twitter spokesperson didn't know I have longer receipts than CVS.
