Y’all complaining how your data doesn’t last but you stream Netflix all day.

1) Netflix streams at up to 1.5Mb/s(Speed) = 0.19MB/s(Data) if you don’t select the resolution yourself. It selects for you based on ur internet speed & God bless you are on 4G, you’re in soup! Thread
2) The Recommended Netflix speed is 1.5Mb/s which means you’re spending 11.25MB every minute and 675MB every hour. So imagine watching a 2 hour movie 🤦‍♂️. That’s 1.35GB!!

3) The next is the SD (Standard Definition). Streams @3Mb/s which is appox. 0.38MB/s which means 22.5MB/Min
Which is also 1.35GB per hour. For an average 2hr movie that’s 2.7GB!!!

4) The HD(High Definition) mostly used by everyone. Way better video quality & streams @5Mb/s approx. 0.63MB/s and 37.5MB per minute and 2.25GB for a 1 hour movie & 4.5GB for a 2hr movie!!
5) Ultra HD. Those of you with Smart TVs with UHD resolution are in the hottest soup Cos you stream at 25Mb/s which means a movie is 11.25GB/hour and 22.50GB for 2 hours.

Summary of this thread is to let you know how much of your data you consume. Use wisely.
