is there nothing more human than a deity whose main goal in life is to Get Ahead and then make mistakes and whose usual narrative function is to make people laugh while teaching them how something in the world was made
the main deities of mythologies change based on priorities. youve got the earth, the sky, the sun, the sea, maybe thunder, probably a warrior, and then the trickster. without fail. he's always in there somewhere. love that guy
im reading an analysis by jung on the psychology of the trickster and listen. dude. youre saying an awful lot of words for describing the basic human desire to get silly.
