Looking at Geekbench 5 the #iPhoneSE is getting consistently lower multi-core scores vs the iPhone 11 Pro Max. What did Apple do? Underclock some of the cores? Single-core scores are comparable. Not surprising. But interesting.
Wow, the hate out there is real, from what I’m reading, for people asking this question. The phone is perfectly powerful. I’m just curious.
People keep saying there is 1gb less ram and that’s why core speed is slower. But once a program is in memory and there is enough of it and I/O speed isn’t being specifically tested, what does ram have to do with cpu or gpu core speed? Genuinely asking.
To me, if this system isn’t being underclocked, it’s just a smaller phone and throttles down more quickly. Big whoop. Burst tasks are still stupid fast.
