Kha look. I'll do the Al Pacino thread some other day but this is the Al Pacino's hairstyles and what they portray thread (again). So when we meet Michael (Pacino), he's a good fauji boy, innocent and distant from the family business. See, how he has a nice little side part.
The hair is a bit shabby even. Then we move on. Here he is sitting with Sollotzo in the restaurant, he's about to shoot him and a cop up, he's afraid but he's gotta do it. But the hairstyle, side part and bit disheveled, he's still the saada baada little boy.
Here he's in Sicily, this is the scene of him getting married to Appolonia, his Sicilian wife. He's learning the history of his family, learning about his roots, the roots of the mafia, la cosa nostra. But he's still an innocent boy from NY who is caught in the family business.
Now he's back. Vito is handing him the reigns of the family. Sonny's dead. Freddie's not up to it. He has to take responsibility, the Don is old. Michael is changing. So is his hairstyle. The part is still there but very weak. The backcomb can be seen. The seriousness displayed.
Vito's dead. This is the funeral. The part grows weaker. The hair are slicker. The backcomb is completely taking over but shades of innocence remain.
He's the Don now. Michael is no more. He's Don Corleone. The side part is gone. Every hair is in it's place. slick, Italian and completely serious!
And it's not just the hair. It's the way they carried themselves. The clothes they wore(Italian suits, always tailored) the shoes(dress shoes shined daily), the words they used(my friend vs our friend is a long discussion, so is the question "is he a Sicilian?") Every word meant>
>something. Every hand gesture was am expression. Ufffff i can go on and on. Bus bay kam for the time.
