Some stuff from a dude with a pregnant wife:
Nesting is hardcore 😂 My wife has this drive to cook the entire time and is legit interrogating every bit of the house to see what can gtfo. Also she’s excessively taking care of me and the dogs (haha I don’t let her though). Adorable seeing her in this phase 🥰
She’s consistently been in an amazing mood. You can see sometimes hormones surfacing but she’s a dream and not at all like what other dudes told me to expect. That may be different from human to human, but @Yvee_e is amazing. You can see her radiating happiness.
The dad did one thing so far in this whole jol. That doesn’t mean you only have to do something again when little one is here. Read the baby stuff, go to the appointments (lockdown providing) and pay attention to what she’s telling you about baby stuff, and what she shows you.
Another thing you can do is be supportive, and do things for her. Be in charge of snacks, keep her topped up with whatever she’s hydrating with permanently, rub whatever hurts, do all the bending down stuff for her. She’s taking strain and growing a human, help.
Aight back to things I’ve seen her do: pregnancy brain is a thing 😂 She constantly catches herself doing something weird, or forgetting basics. A ton of laughs are happening in the house 😂
I know taking care of your body during pregnancy is standard procedure, but Yvette is next level. Ingredients are Googled. Everything is fresh veg, fruit and white meat. She’s a well-oiled, perfectly healthy machine.
Baby videos 😂 They slap differently now, but prepare for a spike in content.
Cravings are insane. I’ve seen her cry after biting into a KFC snack burger 😂 They’re normally for fruit and chicken, though.
And extremely rarely some chocolate. But this week, decaf coffee was the jol.
And tonight, little girl is busy 🤍 @Yvee_e tells me every time she can feel something happening. Popping bubbles.
