Our high HDI and other social indicators is a result of the lifestyle propped up by the successive migration to the Arabian Gulf States by luckless youths.
The Kerala Government& #39;s revenue has depended on Liquor and Lottery sales since the early 2000s - with both of them suspended, the state has little revenue.
The Kerala Model is in no way "self-reliant" or sustainable. A social model in certain indicators, no doubt. But there is no economy to back it up.
