The Starcraft Mothership.
A story.

As many of you know I live in the Mothership (which is disguised as a van). This journey began last Summer after I was abruptly given two weeks to find a new home while also having to quit my job. The details of why are a long crap sad story.
And I’m not telling all that here. To keep it brief, on top of losing my home, being forced to quit my job, I also lost my partner of 8 years and now I had nowhere safe to go :) YAY! And not very much money saved. BUT I remembered this dream I had 5 years ago...
And remembering that dream also reminded me of this idea I had to travel around in a van going to wherever the land calls me to go so I can complete my mission on Earth. And I started thinking hmmmm maybe I should look for a van rather than a new apt.
But I needed to be sure this was the most responsible decision seeing as it is a pretty wild one. Unfortunately I was never able to find a safe place to stay while I was figuring out my next steps so I kept jumping from place to place. With my dog. The bear. It sucked.
Which meant I needed to figure this out FAST. That’s when I googled “is it healthy and safe for me to live in a van with a dog” and I stumbled on all these van life ppl. As soon as I saw all the different tips I was like oh bet I’ll figure this shit out. No problem. lol.
So I contacted the owner of the van. Who just happened to be a mechanic. (Sidenote: when I first saw the van she had Starcraft written on the side and first thing came to mind was IT IS THE MOTHERSHIP and I knew right then and there we were meant for each other)
So this dream... well I had this profound dream about 5 years ago where I was looking out this glass window into the ocean and there was this huge rock formation and I heard this voice that said “&@%*#, you need to go to &@%*#” (sry keeping location private).
I woke up and was like where’s that? I’d never heard of this place before which made it even stranger. So I googled it and the same vision from my dream showed up in the search so I was like ok guess I’m going. But I was like ... when?
And I’ve been asking myself this question ever since I had that dream. So I thought maybe I’m supposed to go to this place now. But I still wasn’t sure. But I necessarily had to hit the road. I didn’t have time to waste. So I put West in the GPS and said fuck it. Pure faith.
Halfway through something happened and that is a whole other story in itself so I’m not gonna go there but I knew right then and there without a doubt I was headed to the place in my dream.
Fast forward through lots of other adventurous stories that are never ending in my world and I am now in the spot from the dream but running very low on funds. I knew I needed to get a job and stat. And so, one just magically appeared. A CAMPGROUND. IN THE MOUNTAIN FOREST.
I needed to regroup and save money to work on the Mothership and just get myself organized since I hit the road like a refugee. I also had plans to do some “light” remodeling on the van to have better organization and just make it cleaner. To make it more my home. A sanctuary.
But then the rain came. And it DOWN POURED. I mean non stop. And guess what happened? The Mothership got wet. Of course. And since it was wet and cold and not built for proper living, mold started to grow. I was devastated for approximately 10 minutes til I found the solution.
I realized I had no choice but to take everything out and rebuild the whole thing. But I had ZERO building experience. Apparently that didn’t phase me bc I just went for it and looking back I’m like wow u rly are a brave something.
This was one of those decisions you don’t rly think too much about you just sorta do it and pray every step of the way lol. Which actually now that I think about it. It is quite symbolic of how I live my entire life.
Fortunately the Mothership landed at a job where I have the REALEST boss I’ve ever had and she opened up her tool shop to let me use all the power tools AND she let me stay in a cabin during the deconstruction/part of the construction phase where it was impossible to live in.
And ppl were kind and showed me how to use power tools (bc I didn’t know how) and just be there for moral support when I’d cry and stare at the next step for too long bc I had no idea what the hell to do and seeing as I had zero experience every single step was daunting.
Recap: I started the Mothership project in Feb. I moved back in once walls and floor almost complete in mid March. And here’s the thing. I was already doing this project paycheck to paycheck bc I didn’t have time to save money.
(Bed pictured wasn’t yet built when I moved back in)
To be continued...

(videos are taking FOREVER to upload in forest wifi so I will share the rest when I get to better service area)
And then the pandemic hit which means no more work or money but I was still in the middle of the project. So I was like oh this is rly fucking cool isn’t it! MORE CHALLENGES THANK YOU FOR TRUSTING ME SO MUCH HOLY ONE. Jokes for days is what the Creator has for me. LOL.
BUT me being the supernatural problem solver I am looked at all my materials and I figured out how to use every last little bit of scraps I had to finish putting it all together. While living in it. And while we were still getting heavy rains and flooding. So that’s what I did.
And now she’s done. And a real home. And so clean and comfy. And the safest and my most favorite place I’ve ever laid this head of mine to sleep. ALL READY TO TAKE OFF FOR THE NEXT PART OF MY MISSION.

I now present to you...

THE STARCRAFT MOTHERSHIP
And now I get to reap the fruits of my labor with even deeper peace and confidence and faith and trust in myself than I had before :)
