doctor strange: SIX YEARS

Doctor Stephen Strange is so underappreciated; I only see people talking about him in relation to Tony, not how amazing his solo film is/how fucking powerful he is as Sorcerer Supreme. his solo film came out 4 years ago, and it'll be 2 more years until the sequel. six years total

not to mention he's disabled after the car crash. Benedict is amazing in the aspect that Strange's hands, even after becoming SS, still shake just a little bit; he won't fully be able to move past it but he can embrace what happened and what it led him to.

there's so much more I could say about Stephen: how his story shows that those at the top can fall, & through their strength rise to a completely different place where they can do good. how he shows that through their strength one can become something they thought wasn't possible

not many talk about his comic backstory either, what happened to his sister and why he became a surgeon, and how much trauma he's been through.

yes, he was a bit of an entitled dickhead, but the man was an amazing surgeon, and so important that Hydra was targeting him in TWS, before he even became a sorcerer; and after the crash and the events of his solo film, he became a GOOD fucking person, helping others,

even willing to sacrifice himself over and over again to Dormmammu - so earth and the people on it would be safe

there's also strongly supported headcanons that Stephen is autistic, and I (as an #ActuallyAutistic person) agree.

this was only meant to be those first two tweets, but I really love Stephen and I hate how underappreciated not only his character, but his solo film is, not to mention the incredible CGI and visuals.
