Please do NOT donate to the PM CARES fund. Ideally, don't even donate to the CM funds - donate to org.s with a strong sense of the ground reality. If you'd like suggestions, ask [me or whoever]. There are good places to donate massive amounts as well - for tax type reasons etc.

Working on relief operations on the ground has shown very clearly that where state funds are being used [if at all] they are being used in daft, often meaningless ways. It's small collectives, NGOs and so on who are actually doing the work.

Here in Bhopal the PDS shops aren't even providing the pittance they promise, and the BMC claims to be serving lakhs of meals a day but we are yet to meet a SINGLE person in any of the bastis we work in who has received one.

Yet painting of signs on roads [during a lockdown?!?!? where you aren't allowing people onto the roads!!??] goes on apace. When I say on roads, I mean it literally - they are painting the asphalt. No one can see what the heck the message is anyway. Why so colourful @OfficeofSSC ?
