For my birthday, I bought myself binoculars, which is potentially creepy, but I just watched a blue jay feed her chicks in the nest she made in my mom's mango tree and I haven't felt this much in like 10 years.

She also chased off a crow -- I believe it to be an American Crow -- and the pride I felt almost burst my chest wide open.

Nabbed a pic of her. But I'm not gonna get close enough to show you the nest because it'll freak her out.

Ummmmmm apparently my belief that female bluejays are brown was incorrect. I have no idea what kind of bird this is, but will try to figure it out.
