I was informed yesterday afternoon that I& #39;ve been granted tenure and will be promoted to Associate Professor @WakeForest . It& #39;s been quite a journey, filled with highs, lows, a fair bit of stress and some very tough decisions. It& #39;s a tremendous honor and privilege.
Apologies in advance for the sappy thread, but I want to thank a few people. I work and teach with great colleagues @WFUEconomics @agriffithecon, @smazumder1, @maggietriyana, @tamcfall and many other non-twitter folks.
I had fantastic advisors and mentors in grad school: Spencer Banzhaf, Barry Hirsch, @ianschmutte, @pauljferraro, Gale Boyd and @julielhotchkiss opened doors for me and put me on the right track.
I have two co-authors who are awesome: @Jonatha02327890 & @UpdatedPriors. Research is a lot of fun when you work with your friends. Along those lines...
ongoing work with @J_C_Suarez , @real_eric_ohrn , @DangGarrett and Kevin Roberts has been a blast and I can& #39;t wait to see what comes out of it.
Strange as it sounds, I& #39;d also like to thank Referees, editors and grant reviewers for their feedback and consideration of my work. There& #39;s been some frustration along the way but even when news was negative they were almost always supportive and made my research better.
Finally, and most importantly, thank you to my wonderful wife @lindleycurtis, two great kids and my amazing parents who have always supported me. I’m incredibly blessed to have them in my life.
