BREAKING: The number of deaths with #covid19 in hospital has now topped 20,000.

Last month, the Chief Scientific Advisor said keeping deaths below 20k would be a "good outcome". Clear UK is heading for a bad outcome, potentially one of the worst in the world.
But also clear that government's lockdown measures are now having huge impact in terms of slowing the spread - hospitalisations now falling. Question (which I know some might rather save for the inquiry) is whether lockdown happened early enough & why track and trace was dropped.
Remember this particular measure of deaths does not include those outside hospital. I expect the CQC to reveal on Tuesday that several thousand more have tragically died in care homes.
