Today& #39;s lockdown clear-out joy.

32 7" singles that were mostly my mum& #39;s and my gran& #39;s. Dates from 50s-70s.

Pick a number between 1 - 32, I& #39;ll share the joys of your pick.

Warning, it& #39;s mostly going to be awful and some of the sleeves have been nibbled by mice.

1st pick is No 12 for @muninnherself

The Troggs - The Raver from October 1970 on Page One Records.

Reckon this was my mum& #39;s.
Next up is #28 for @fi_fry, I think this is the most recent single here and was my aunt& #39;s. It was from a drama serial about David Lloyd George.

Ennio Morricone – Chi Mai from 1981, on BBC Records & Tapes
Next it& #39;s #14 for @johnnieplant

Trash - Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight from 1969 on The Beatles& #39; Apple label. This one has been nibbled. Definitely my mum& #39;s.
Got a French import at #8 for @Darrellmitch73, had to dig out the adapter for the centre.

It& #39;s songs from Le Roi et Moi from 1960. This was my gran& #39;s.
#2 picked by @BelfastHead who may regret deciding to play it on his show.

It& #39;s a various artists EP on Pye Records from 1966, this could have been either my mum& #39;s or my gran& #39;s. The lead track is Down Town by Petula Clark.
Next up is #15, @LandshippingMu1& #39;s pick.

Paper Sun by Traffic from 1967, nice pink Island label. Mum& #39;s again, really needs a good clean!
By the way, delays between tweets are due to making myself listen to all these.
#27 picked by @iDigCornwall is the only flexi in the pile.

It& #39;s a Reader& #39;s Digest advertising disc called Excerpts from Your 101 Favourite Melodies, trying to persuade me to buy a whole set of LPs. Wow. That must have been my gran& #39;s.
I have to steel myself to play #24, picked by @Bubblenoma as this isn& #39;t an artist I like.

It& #39;s Rainy Days And Mondays by The Carpenters from 1971 on A&M. Another of mum& #39;s and caked in grime.

Oh and I forgot to change the speed back to 45 rpm in classic John Peel style.
Going funky(ish) with #17, picked by @PhilKooky.

Johnny Johnson & His Bandwagon – (Blame It) On The Pony Express from 1970, on Bell Records. Another of mum& #39;s.
Rather embarrassed by #1 picked by @themikeslattery, as it& #39;s by an artist whose reputation has become less than savoury.

The Weathermen - It& #39;s The Same Old Song from 1970, basically Jonathan King doing a bad Four Tops cover, actually sounds like 1982 Dexys. Mum& #39;s again.
Thanks to @pkrpmusic for picking #7, the oldest so far and one of my gran& #39;s. Ready for a dance?

Dance With Jimmy Shand (No. 2) - Jimmy Shand and his Band, from 1957. No more rock& #39;n& #39;roll for you.
Dragging myself away from the Highlands, it& #39;s quite the contrast for #23, picked by @MickieAutumn.

Johnny Nash – Falling In And Out Of Love from 1971 on MAM Records. Funky-reggae-pop.
Back to my gran& #39;s records for #13, picked by @MeicMitchell. We& #39;re gonna wash that man right out of our hair.

Songs from South Pacific performed by Russ Case and his Orchestra (1964, Bravo! Records).
