[TRANS SUMMARY - THREAD] 22 minute-long reaction by Korean etiquette specialist Lee Sang Hwa on Jungkook’s manners ()

[1] Jungkook’s manners have reached a very high level. Usually good deeds are motivated by altruistic mind- thinking that it would be +
+ of a help to others. What’s special about him is that he moves to act right away not having any specific intention in his mind. He picks up the litters b/c they’re there. I can read that in his behaviors. This is showing a very high level of manners. People who have reached +
+ this high standard would do the same whether there are people around or not.
[2] Jungkook’s existence is very valuable to the society in that he not only makes our surroundings clean, but he also exerts good influence to people around him. Someone will definitely follow his deed after seeing him. Here, you can see a member of another group holding +
+ litters in her hand & after seeing Jungkook, she again looked around to see if there’s more to pick up.
[3] He has an easy-going personality and doesn't care that his hands get dirty. In this video, even though it was in the middle of the awards ceremony when it was still important that he had his style upright, he instantly came forward & kneeled to give a hand the moment he +
+ saw the staff coming to fix the stage device. If you have many thoughts going on in your mind, you can't act readily to show your manners. He reacts immediately b/c he doesn’t care about his hands getting dirty.
[4] I saw a scene recently that substantiates this theory of mine on Jungkook. When he was approaching the piece of cake that fell on the floor, the staff were trying to stop him saying his hands would get grease on them. Then Jungkook says “It won’t get on me. It’s just bean +
+ paste” & goes on to pick up the thing. His speech is so considerate of people around him, relieving of their concern. And he would have probably picked that up even if it was a cake that would leave a lot of grease on his hands.
[5] Here, he’s picking up other people's drums as well as the one that he used. If he had had 7 arms, he would have picked up all 7 drums. Don’t get me wrong. There’s no need for BTS members to do cleaning up because there are staff in charge of the job. This is not making a +
+ comparison. But Jungkook’s manners are of a very high standard, in that he cleans up not only his but also others.
[6] He’s wiping up the spilt water on the floor of the stage. This is by no means an easy-to-do behavior. It's a behavior that requires a lot of effort. You have to find something to wipe the water, you have to kneel down and you have to endure the gaze around you. People are +
+ usually discouraged to do the same in the same situation because they become conscious of people around them. That’s a natural feeling. But Jungkook doesn't seem to care about the situation at all. Seeing it, I can tell that he has done the same always to the level that it +
+ has become very natural for him. I bet as an etiquette specialist that he couldn’t have acted like that if he hadn’t done that before. The high level of his manners and etiquette shown in his daily life shows that he is a man of good character. He must be a splendid person.
