Latest outright fabrication from Brexit propagandists: "don't extend transition or UK will have to pay towards Eurozone bailout fund".

Detail below on why this is completely false & those who peddle this sort of rubbish should forfeit any claim to be treated as credible. Voila:
1) Art 132 of the Withdrawal Agreement explicitly states that, during any extension, the UK's financial contribution towards the EU budget will be the subject of a new agreement, to be reached between the two parties within the framework of their Joint Committee...
2) And Art 132 also explicitly states that, in reaching its decision about what an appropriate future UK contribution should be during any extended transition, the Joint Committee will take into account the status of the UK during the transitional period.
It is unlikely that the "Great Brexit Minds" who invented this scare-story are simply illiterate. More plausible? They don't know what they are talking about & they don't care what lies they pollute public debate with - so long as those lies serve their own ideological fixations.
Whatever the explanation, those who voice or endorse (eg in letters to national newspapers) this blatant fabrication, about UK being forced to fund Eurozone bailouts, have forfeited any claim to be serious & credible commentators on the question about extending transition. Merci
