AS: Man United table offer for Real Madrid's Reguilón, who would practically be a starter vs Shaw. They are back in the UCL & Regui is keen to continue with his own personal development and had his heart set on returning to Real Madrid which is what the club wants too.

AS: Juventus, Napoli & Tottenham have also inquired about Reguilón's situation but Sevilla & Man United are the best place to land the player. Sevilla want another loan without an option to buy. Madrid haven't ruled out a €25-30m transfer with a buy-back like Morata-Juve.

Sevilla, who prefer another loan or loan + buy option, haven't closed the door on a purchase as long as it doesn't exceed €18-20m which is nothing close to the €30m Real Madrid is asking.

MARCA: Reguilón doesn't want to leave Real Madrid definitively. He knows the door is closed for now but he doesn't give up his dream of succeeding at the club that formed him. For this he need not disengage completely & a new loan would give him the option to try again next year.

Onda Cero: Another loan to Sevilla isn't out of the question if Reguilon in the future has room in the Real Madrid team.

COPE: Reguilon has no place at Real Madrid at the moment. Mendy is Zidane's preference & Marcelo doesn't want to leave. The best placed is Man United, but the problem that is they don't want to include a buyback option. Sevilla is insisting on another loan.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi: "Regarding Reguilón, like I said before, we'd love to have him here but it is complicated because there are economically very strong rivals with whom we are not in a position to fight considering the health and economic crisis."

MARCA: Man United, Tottenham, Juventus and Inter have all made an approach to sign Reguilon. Sevilla are still hoping to get him back on loan.

Real Madrid have set a €25-30m price but may choose to loan him so he can re-join the first team if Marcelo leaves next summer.

MARCA: Since they are reluctant to accept a buyback clause, talks with Man United have momentarily stalled. Reguilon is think about his progression now & about being able to return one day to Madrid, the team of his life. Sergio knows that his best moment is yet to come.

David Ornstein: "I’ve been told by some contacts there is an offer (for Reguilón), but Old Trafford sources deny this. They think they’re being used to draw a bid from Tottenham. I am informed a final decision will be made in the coming days.”

AS: Spurs on the lookout for Reguilon and Mourinho has phoned him personally.

AS: Reguilon has offers from Juve, Inter, Napoli + Man United (4 seasons, no buyback) or another Sevilla loan where he's comfortable, has trust of Lopetegui with whom he became UEL champions, a starter loved by their fans & can return back to the club of his dreams, Real Madrid.

MARCA: Man United in negotiations with Real Madrid for Reguilon. United want to buy him outright bu Real still want a buyback option after 1-2 seasons. Depending on agreements, price is expected to be around 25 million euros.

MARCA: Spurs enter the race as Real Madrid insist on a buyback clause, something Man United do not want but are willing to meet Real Madrid's asking price of €25-30m. Negotiations are continuing, but Madrid are considering alternative options.

AS: Reguilon has two other important offers on the table. Tottenham, who would be willing to accept a buy-back clause in any deal, and Inter who have an excellent relationship with Madrid.

AS: Reguilón would not be able to move to Milan with a buy-back option and any such deal would be closely scrunitised by both the Italian FA & FIFA in Article 18b. That is why Achraf opted for a deal which offered the right of first refusal if any future offers come.

AS: United's technical department and Solskjaer want a long-term solution to the left-back slot and see little or no logic in signing a player who might suddenly up and leave.

COPE: Spurs are close to signing Reguilon for €30m. Real Madrid would have a buyback clause for €5-10m or more applicable for the first two years.

BBC Sport: United spoke to Real about Reguilon but were put off by the Spanish giants' insistence on a buyback clause.

That has allowed Tottenham to step in, and the expectation is he will now join Jose Mourinho's squad.
