Democratic Socialists believe that a majority has authority to decide a minimum standard of living for society, to enact policies to achieve that minimum, and that members of that society who are able, are obligated to work toward achieving that minimum. 1/2

Because if there is too much difference in social and economic power, people will be exploited.
