Putting in a tripple Shift

1. 5pm get a call 2 suspects detained . One is 16.
9pm call police for update told it’s going to late turn who start at 11.
Interview 1. Starts at 130 - 3am .
At 3 am no Apt Adult available for youth
At 4 am Police decide go pass it onto next shift

2. I went to bed just after 4 my working day having started with ( virtual ) court 18 hours previously .
Woken at 8.10 new officers fresh on shift ready to interview a 16 year old who has had barely any rest having been detained through two police shifts and now entering the 3rd

3. The @LegalAidAgency @MoJGovUK and police never appreciate that we don’t have capacity or certainty to operate shift systems . It is part of our job but it’s time to properly reward for nocturnal wiring especially if sandwiched between two daytime shifts . Remotely or not
