No matter how many times you visit Kathputli colony and post pictures with the poor on Instagram, no one will confuse you for a white or the affluent till you are stuck with that liberal arts degree in your father's two bedroom in a congested suburban, ultra middle class locality

where you leave from every morning, bragaining with the rikshaw puller in your American accent and eventually boarding the metro with the attitude of boarding a private jet.

And ya, people do know that while you pose as someone concerned about the poor, you are just an unemployed sass trying to make a living out of it...in other words, trying to snatch a morsel off the poor's share while chanting upliftment.
