I'm in the mood for Beta Rights. So have this tiny ABO / #BKDK, with A!Katsuki and B!Izuku.

Izuku was staring at the Alpha across the table.
“You picked your mate up, from the bus stop,” he repeated his answer.
He shrugged. “Yeah. I can pick him up when and where I want.”
2) “Huh. Because you mate told us, you kidnapped him. That he didn’t want to be in your car. Or basement.”
“He’s shy. Y’know. That’s just how Omegas are.”
“And when he was found, he was black and blue. Dehydrated and scared.”
The Alpha clicked his tongue, growled.
3) “That’s what love looks like. A Beta like you wouldn’t understand.”
“Oh, I do understand. Trust me,” Izuku stood up. “I talk to you later.”
Once he stepped outside the room and the door fell shut behind him, he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
4) “This guy’s giving me headaches. I’m so tired of this bullshit from Alphas.”

“Hey now. Not all of us are like this fucker.”

Kacchan’s gruff voice put a faint smile on Izuku’s face.

“Right. Sorry. You're different.”
“You bet I am. He's a poor excuse of an Alpha. Some extra.”
5) “Thanks for arresting these guys on a daily basis, Ground Zero.”
Said hero stopped leaning against the wall when Izuku walked past him. He fell into step with the police officer.
“How’s the victim doin’?”
“In the hospital. For at least two nights.”
6) “And this extra fucker of scum?”

Izuku shrugged, pressing the coffee botton on the drinking machine.
7) “He will probably get away with it. Like the majority of Alphas who do this. That’s how it is. The moment Alphas like him smell an Omega they can do what they want. Because they are just meant to be,” Izuku sneered.
8) “I will put him in jail myself then. Give him a nice, concreted room and the coldest iron bars I can find.”

Izuku sat dropped down on one of the many empty chairs, taking a sip of his lukewarm coffee.
9) “I really hope the laws will change. It’s frustrating having assholes like him once or twice a week.”
“Aren’t they working on some new pills?”
Izuku looked up to meet a pair of fiercing eyes. “You think pills will fix that problem.”
10) Kaccan didn’t answer. Instead, he let his crossed arms drop to his sides and looked around the police station as if he hadn’t seen it 182 times over the past two and a half years.

“You should get some real coffee instead of this cheap crap.”
11) “Go ahead. Get me some real coffee then, Kacchan.”

The audacity in Izuku’s smirk made Kacchan’s - Ground Zero’s - heart skip a beat or two.

“Next time. Gotta go.”
“Take care, hero.”
“‘Course!”

[maybe tbc. idk yet.]
12) The next time he was sitting in the same room across a person, it was an Omega. She was chewing on her lips.

“Are you sure that’s all there is to this?” Izuku asked, trying to keep his face as steady as possible. He was about to lose his cool.
13) She nodded, but Izuku had a little bit more patience left.

“I understand that maybe you cannot say more,” he reached for the Campus notes and the ballpen, sliding it to her, “and you don’t have to. Just know that we-”

“I don’t need your help. It’s fine. Okay?!”
14) The woman growled at him. “It’s not the first time this happened. It’s not his fault.”

Oh, he heard that on a daily basis.

“He--- He didn’t mean to hurt me! It’s normal when your partner is in a rut. He gets a bit more aggressive during this time.”
15) He smelled that fear on a daily basis, too.

“But he hurt you anyway. You got a blue eye and bruises on your arms, around your neck an--”
“That’s none of your business. He already apologises to me.”
“How many time did he apologised and did it again?”
16) The Omega glared at him. “How dare you? You know nothing! You’re a Beta! You have no idea! He loves me. And I love him! I won’t betray him just because you don’t get it!” She got up from the chair, grabbing her jacket. “That’s all I have to say. Now, I will pick up my mate.”
17) Izuku followed her out of the room. Her Alpha was waiting for her next to the drinking machine, walking up and down. A starved lion on the hunt.

“Let’s go, darling,” she said, taking his hand. “They got it all wrong. I told them.”
18) “I’m sorry, babe.” He brushed a strand of her dark hair behind her ear.

Izuku wanted to throw up.

“You don’t have to be. I know you didn’t mean it like this.” She smiled, and her mate caught Izuku staring at them.

“What are you looking at, huh?”
19) “I’m just glad you got your lil’ prey back for tonight,” Izuku snapped.

Next Izuku saw were the Alpha’s sharp canines and a fist that would definitely hit him once the guy closed the distance. Izuku tensed when the scent of a pissed-off Alpha crawled up his nose.
20) He was quick to ball his hands as well. This guy wasn’t the first Alpha he had taken heads on.

“Let’s just go!” His girlfriend grabbed him by his arm, “he’s just waiting to arrest you. C’mon. Let’s go home.”

Three of his colleagues accompanied the couple on their way--
21) outside, with the Alpha cursing all the way. Izuku dropped on an empty chair. His head lay heavy in his palms.

“I’m quitting…” he sighed, shaking his head. “That’s not what I dreamed of when I started this job…”

This was sickening. Was he really the one at fault?
22) He was just trying to help the weaker! Perhaps he really did not understand a single thing. Maybe it was normal for Alphas to go for their mates throats straight and it was alright for Omegas to end up black and blue, as long as they’re in their Alphas strong arms.
23) Something hot touched the back of his hand and Izuku nearly jumped out of his seat.

“Wuah, calm down!”
“K-kacchan!? God, you--- Gave me a heart attack. And not in a good way.”
“Got you some real coffee,” he said, handing him a StarLuck’s cup.
24) “Thanks. Isn’t a bit expensive, tho?”
Kacchan took a sip from his own cup, eyeing him. “So?”
“Expensive doesn’t have to be good.”
“Never said I’ll bring you good coffee. Just real one. Any coffee’s more real than this instant shit you’re always drinking.”
25) Izuku furrowed, taking a sip.

“So,” Izuku didn’t had to look up to see the smirk curving Kacchan's lips, “I’m giving you heart attacks?”
“Now's not a good time for this, Kacchan…”
“It’s never a good time for this, with you, Deku.”
26) “Yeah, ‘cause I’m having a horrible day, every day.”

Katsuki sat down, with one chair between them.

“Time to change that, don’t you think.”
“I’m not dating Alphas. Sorry.”

Another sip of the coffee went down this throat.

“Yeah, me neither. Guess we have that in common.”
27) This put a shy smile on Izuku’s face and he cast a look at Kacchan. Seeing him in casual clothes was a rare sign. Izuku would be a liar if he would tell that he wouldn’t like him that way. Actually, he preferred him all casual.

“Wanna talk about it?”
“No.”
28) “Fine. Wanna meet up this Sunday?”
“No, Kacchan.”
“Next Sunday, then?”

Izuku sighed. “You’re thinkin' if you’re asking just enough I gonna say yes?”

Katsuki was quiet for a moment. When he spoke, his voice was calm enough to make Izuku forget that he was an Alpha.
29) “No. But I’m thinking if I take you out on a date… Just one, and I don’t make it the best date you ever had then I’ll stop asking.”

Izuku’s tongue darted out to wet his bottom lip and he swallowed two more sips, before he had the courage to answer.

“Just one date.”
