A lot of stylists prefer to work as freelance rather than being employed on one company only. They can work on as many artists if theyre hired by the artists management.
That means some stylists can be TXTs stylists at the same time can be Itzy, Ateez, and other group& #39;s stylist.
Where do stylists get the clothes that they put on idols?
On small brands
Online brands
Fashion designers
High end brands like Gucci, Channel, Valentino, Nike etc.
On small and online brands stylists tend to contact these shops and offer some promotions in exchange of clothes.
Some shops will let the stylist have the clothes but some will ask the stylists to return it after the promotion period that they agreed on.
So as much as possible the stylists will put on those clothes on as many idol or artists for the sake of free promotion.
Do the stylist earn from this? Yes. They earn a LOT.
They just have to make sure that the clothes are in good condition when returned to the shop.
Fashion designers.
A lot of stylists attend fashion shows. After the show they will approach or contact the designer of the clothes they want to rent or borrow. Stylists can& #39;t just buy clothes from them coz the price are higher than the branded clothes.
Clothes from fashion designers are also one of kind. You can& #39;t find any dupplicate of it on stores that& #39;s why the value is pretty high. And the exchange of these clothes? Ofc free promotion, again.
Ok so for the high end brands ofc it& #39;s all about promotion again but unlike the first ones this one involves the company esp when their artists was the brand ambassador of the said brand. The best example for this is BTS x Fila.
Some facts when you see ur faves wearing high end brands when they& #39;re on sets and shows.
*100% of the clothes they wear is either from the stylist or from the company esp if it& #39;s a custom made like costumes.
*If the clothes has words written or printed on it and the stylists put tapes on it that means it& #39;s not for promotion like what you see on yeonjun and yuna up there but if it doesn& #39;t then it& #39;s a 100% promotion.
For k-idols the best way to promote high end brands is through airport fashion.
Brands will give the stylists some stuffs they need to promote before they leave korea. They can promote anything here including bags, shoes, accessories, and clothes.
There are some do& #39;s and donts artists needs to follow when promoting esp on airport.
For example, bags. Some brands will tell your stylists how you carry it properly. Some won& #39;t allow you to put it in the floor or chair, swing it while walking and etc.
If the brand ask you to hold it on your side then you just have to hold it on your side until you reach the plain or your car.
For accessories like earrings, bracelets etc there& #39;s also do& #39;s and dont& #39;s and if ever they lost it the stylists wont pay for it but artists themselves.
These promotions in airport fashion are mostly apllied on rookie groups some popular groups. Some groups who already have tons of money don& #39;t do promotions anymore and they wear whatever they want.
Ok. So that& #39;s all guys. I still have a lot of things to share but I kinda forgot some of them https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😥" title="Disappointed but relieved face" aria-label="Emoji: Disappointed but relieved face">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😅" title="Smiling face with open mouth and cold sweat" aria-label="Emoji: Smiling face with open mouth and cold sweat">.
